Important information
If the fare you purchased includes free seat booking, you can choose your preferred seat when you make your booking, without having to wait until Check-in.
If the fare you purchased does not include free seat booking, the seat will be allocated automatically at Check-in (online or at the airport). Any change to the seat assigned to you will incur a cost, which varies according to your fare and the chosen area of the aircraft.

Booking of extra seats
Do you need one or more extra seats to travel more comfortably or to accommodate your special cabin baggage? Please note that at TAP, we allow the booking of extra seats in certain situations and under certain conditions:
Special assistance / medical reasons, if required, e.g. additional legroom.
Accommodation of fragile, oversized baggage, musical instruments or valuable items.
- If the characteristics of our seats (distance between seats and width) do not allow you to travel in ideal conditions of comfort and safety.
Please note that it is not possible to book an extra seat online, so you must do so through our Contact Center,a TAP counter or a Travel Agency. To guarantee your seat, this booking must be made at the same time as your ticket booking and prior to the flight date, and is subject to the fare conditions of the ticket purchased (fees apply to Discount, Basic and Classic fares)..
In the case of accommodation of fragile baggage, the number of extra seats required will depend on the volume / weight of the baggage. In order to ensure correct accommodation in the cabin, this need is assessed by TAP.

Tenha em atenção que não é possível fazer online a reserva de um lugar extra, pelo que deve fazê-lo através do nosso Contact Center, um balcão TAP ou Agência de Viagens. Para garantir o lugar, esta reserva deve ser feita em simultâneo com a reserva do seu bilhete e previamente à data do voo, estando sujeita às condições tarifárias do bilhete adquirido (são aplicáveis taxas nas tarifas Discount, Basic e Classic).
No caso de acomodação de bagagem frágil, o número de lugares extra necessários, dependerá do volume / peso da bagagem e, de forma a ser garantida a correta acomodação na cabina, a avaliação desta necessidade é feita pela TAP.
