Boarding at the airport

Start your trip with peace of mind and without delays. Get ready to fly!

Important information

Your boarding time is listed on your boarding pass, and your boarding gate will be displayed on the airport's information screens. We recommend that you pay attention to any changes. When boarding, always have your boarding pass and ID ready for verification.

Boarding areas and priority

At TAP, we use a system of zones and queues to board our passengers, taking into account their needs and ticket type. Boarding is done according to the following priorities:

  1. Families with children up to 5 years old and passengers with special needs;
  2. Passengers with Premium Boarding;
  3. Passengers from zone A and, sequentially, zones B and C.

Premium Boarding

A free and exclusive boarding for Customers traveling with Top Executive and Executive fares, and for Customers with Navigator, TAP Miles&Go Gold and Silver status.

If this service is not included in your ticket, you can easily purchase it as an extra, regardless of the fare you are traveling with in Economy Class (Discount, Basic, Classic or Plus).

Add Premium Boarding to your trip and benefit from the advantages of differentiated boarding from 8 EUR / 10 USD / 14 CAD or 2.000 miles.

Prices may vary depending on the purchase channel*, the time in advance of the purchase, the trip date and the origin and destination. Check the price of Premium Boarding, applicable to your trip, during the booking process or, later, through Manage your Booking.
For transactions made outside of Europe, the service fee will be converted from the fixed USD amount to the local currency (except Canada).
