Important information
- In flights with high occupancy, it may be necessary to transfer some hand baggage to the aircraft's hold free of charge (even if the defined limits are met). In these situations, the baggage will be requested at the Check-in or at the boarding gate and delivered, upon arrival, to the baggage carousel.
- If it is necessary to transfer hand baggage to the aircraft's hold, you must remove any valuable items it might contain (identification documents, credit cards, jewelry, money), electronic equipment (mobile phones, tablets, or laptops) or essential medication.

Maximum weight: 30 kg / 66.13 lbs. Maximum dimensions: 155 x 42 x 25 cm / 61 x 17 x 10 in, if placed on the cabin floor, or 110 x 42 x 50 cm / 43 x 17 x 20 in, if placed on top of the seat (height x length x width).

When travelling with TAP, you are always entitled to free cabin baggage, but the number of pieces (baggage items) you can take varies depending on the Class you are travelling in and the destination of your flight:

Save time and money. Buy one hold baggage online (1), in advance for 30 EUR / 37 USD / 49 CAD (2).
- If you are already at the airport, go to the Check-in desk and check your hold baggage, subject to payment of the applicable fees (2) ;
- At the boarding gate additional fees apply to excess hand baggage.
(1) If your booking was made through a Travel Agency, you can purchase extra baggage directly from the agent.
(2) Prices for extra baggage may vary depending on the purchase channel*, how far in advance the purchase was made, the trip date and its origin and destination. Check the price of extra baggage applicable to your trip during the booking process or later through Manage your Booking.
For transactions made outside of Europe, which use a different local currency, the service fee will be converted from the fixed USD amount to the local currency (except Canada).
*Purchase channel : flyTAP - during the booking process, through Manage your Booking or online Check-in - TAP kiosks and counters at the airport, TAP Contact Center and Travel Agencies.
