2X1 – For every tour with wine tasting you purchase, Quinta da Aveleda offers you an extra tour.
It is in the heart of the Vinho Verde (Green Wine) region that one can discover - almost in secret - the magical Quinta da Aveleda. While visiting this place you will have the opportunity to explore more than 300 years in the history of a family that has been taking care of the property as a family treasure.
Amidst rare, centuries-old tree species, you will see the lake, the Manueline window, the teahouse and the fountains - all part of a legacy that has been preserved on an eight-hectare romantic garden. This heritage is surrounded by vineyards with perfectly lined-up leafy vines, and the Old Cellar tells part of the story of five generations dedicated to the wine business, set in a unique venue dating back to 1850 where countless barrels are resting.
The tour ends in the refurbished threshing floor, next to the stables, with various wine tasting experiences matched with the estate's cheese. The Shop is a temptation and ships bottles to various corners of the world.
When the days are long, the Old Kitchen's wooden stoves offer bread baking workshops, the garden hosts painting sessions with wine, the estate's enologist teaches master classes, and the panoramic balcony hosts delicious meals matching Minho cuisine with the estate's wines.
