Region by region, the best of national gastronomy

The TAP Local Stars project was launched in 2023 in partnership with The Art of Tasting Portugal (1). The project aims to:

  • Showcase the finest portuguese cuisine to the world;
  • Give our passengers the opportunity to savor the most famous ingredients from each portuguese region.

To that end, we asked 12 nationally acclaimed Chefs to create 12 Menus, each featuring traditional products from a different portuguese region and highlighting a star ingredient.

The Menus are available on long-haul Business Class flights departing from Lisbon and are renewed every two months. Curious? Discover the flavors you can savor on board!

In January and February, almonds complete the menu

Discover the rich gastronomy of the Douro at the hands of Chef Rui Paula. This exclusive menu highlights the almond, one of the Douro region's most emblematic agricultural products and part of the region's agricultural heritage.
