The transportation of firearms on TAP flights is limited to weapons for personal use intended for sporting activities and hunting. This transport service is subject to the presentation of all necessary licenses and authorizations and must be booked and confirmed before arrival at the airport. If you are traveling with firearms and ammunition, please note the following transport and safety conditions: - The possession of firearms or ammunition in the cabin is prohibited;
- It is important to transport the weapons in a container with a sturdy outer surface, wood, metal, or fiber, that protects against potential shocks and prevents sliding in the interior;
- At the Check-in, hand over your weapons unloaded, disassembled, and conveniently packaged;
- The weapon's documentation – registration document, license to use and carry a firearm – must be in force;
- Transportation of firearms and ammunition containing explosive projectiles in the aircraft's hold is not permitted;
- It is not permitted to transport more than 5 kg / 11 lbs, of ammunition per passenger;
- Only small-caliber ammunition is permitted, and it cannot contain explosive projectiles.
The transportation of firearms in an aircraft's hold for commercial purposes (export or import) is prohibited. Instead, please dispatch them as Cargo.

If you are traveling with firearms and ammunition on the plane, you must Check-in 2h before the standard time to comply with all mandatory police formalities.
The charges applied to this equipment's transportation vary depending on the route and are excluded from the baggage allowance of the purchased fare. This shipping service includes only two separate items: a box with weapons and a box with ammunition.
For transactions outside of Europe using a different local currency, the service fee will be converted from the fixed USD amount to the local currency (except Canada).
