Rules and channels for changing tickets

Changes to flight schedules are subject to seat availability and must be made before the original flight schedule, on the day of the flight, using one of the channels mentioned below.

Additional Information:

  1. Please note that it is only possible to anticipate the flight time at the boarding gate if you are traveling without a hold baggage.

  2. If you are traveling with hold baggage, and it has not yet been checked in, you can anticipate your flight time at the Check-in desk, TAP counters at airports, through Travel Agencies and through the Contact Center.

  3. If you are traveling with hold baggage, and it has not yet been checked in, you can postpone your flight at TAP counters at the airports, through Travel Agencies and through the Contact Center.

  4. It is not possible to anticipate or postpone the flight if you have purchased additional services subject to confirmation (e.g.: transport of animals, sports equipment or musical instruments).

  5. If you are traveling in Business Class and have booked a special meal, this meal will not be available on the new flight.

  6. If you purchased an Upgrade and want to change your flight, the Upgrade is not available on the new flight, and the amount paid is non-refundable.

  7. If you purchased a seat and need to change the flight, the seat purchased on the original flight is not guaranteed on the new flight and the amount paid for the seat is non-refundable.
  8. If you purchased a special service (e.g. birthday/wedding cake and/or sparkling wine) and want to change your flight, the service is not guaranteed on the new flight and the amount paid is non-refundable.

Rules for changing tickets

The aforementioned Ponte Aérea advantages do not apply to transit passengers or group bookings (10 or more passengers).
