Notice about rights when travelling to Canada
TAP Air Portugal makes every effort to get you to your destination safely and on time, as scheduled. On some occasions, weather conditions, air traffic control, operational or service conditions may result in flights being delayed, cancelled or diverted. This notice contains important information about passenger rights under Canada's Air Passenger Protection Regulation (APPR), SOR/2019-150, with respect to flights from Canada operated by TAP Air Portugal.
If you have been denied boarding, or if your flight has been cancelled or delayed by at least two hours, or your baggage has been lost or damaged, you may be entitled to certain standards of care and compensation under the Air Passenger Protection Regulation. For more information about your rights as a passenger, contact your air carrier or visit the Canadian Transportation Agency website.
You will not be able to enjoy these rights if you are denied boarding for reasons of health, safety, invalid travel documentation, or for the reasons stipulated in the General Conditions of Carriage of TAP Air Portugal.
If TAP is unable to find a satisfactory solution to your problem, you may contact the Canadian Transportation Agency as follows:
